Ragnarok~The third wills
The war between the first second jobs and the seconds has been going on for 4 years now. The people have suffered a lot and the new generations are angry…
Operation F-J:
The light in Withe’s eyes shone brightly under the stars, he had short hair and wore the amour of a knight. He stood at the ledge of a mountain and stared at the bright full moon. “ Tomorrows the day when we attack Juno and prove that we are the ones who are stronger!”
Meanwhile, a thief named Reion was walking towards the gates of Juno. The voice has led me to here, but what lies ahead he thought to himself. Soon he heard the voice again, “ You must find the shrine of chaos, to obtain the power you seek you must defeat your weakness and promote to the second class job. The power to end it all, to ease your pain…” “ I won’t fail.” Reion replied back.
He walked around looking for the shrine, but he had no luck in finding it. It was too late at night to see anything. Reion thought to himself again, if the shrine is the shrine of chaos then I must follow the darkest path. Soon enough he arrived at that shrine, there was no one in the shrine so Reion decided to explore. Reion soon came upon a sealed door. The voice spoke to him again, “What you seek is behind this door, are you ready?” Reion slashed the door open with his stiletto, a crystal was at the end of the room. Suddenly, a weird human like creature appeared, Reion prepared himself for battle; the creature began to shoot out balls of fire at Reion. Reion quickly dodged them and ran forward to strike the creature. However the creature shot a quick blast of lighting at Reion. Reion was stunned by the blast for a second before he could move again. However that was all the time the creature needed to release another group of fireballs. Reion was burnt and knocked back by them, but he didn’t give up and tried again and again. However it looked hopeless, he thought to himself, if only I had a long-range attack, if only I had that power. He had low health left, but it was the only way he could win. He charged forward once more with light steps, the creature shot a blast of lighting followed by another group of fireballs. Reion braced through the lighting and broke the stun in the very second, he jumped towards the creature and prepared to unleash his strongest slashes. However the creature fired its fireballs at Reion again. Reion saw it coming and spun his body just missing the fireballs and was now right in front of the creature. “I won’t die here, I won’t lose to you and I will end this war! Double strike attack!” Reion slashed as hard as he could at the creature and continued doing so till the creature had lost all of its health.
Reion had defeated the creature and had now earned the right of the third second job. The voice spoke to him once more as Reion took up the crystal, “ Well done Reion, you have proved yourself to be stronger and different from other thieves. The crystal is your prove as being a second third job. Your equipment lies in the doors behind…”
Reion opened the doors and found a black coat and two weird weapons. They were shaped like pistols but had two blades sticking out from the sides of the round opening. He put them on and the voice finished its sentence, “…from today onwards you are a gunner.”
It was dawn, the sun began to rise. Withe led his army of knights towards Juno. He then went ahead to scout the area. He walked to the center of the city, there didn’t look like there was any one in Juno. Then he saw Reion walking to towards the exit of Juno. “ You wear weird clothes, what is your job?” Withe asked the stranger. “My name is Reion and I’m one of the third second job class.” Withe was shocked, there was no word from anyone about a third second job. He didn’t even think that it existed. “ I am Withe Hikari of the knight guild, and you are in the way of our operation.” Withe told Reion as he drew his swords. Reion took out his weapons, which he had now named Genblades and spoke back, “ If you want me to leave, you will have to make me…” “Very well then…” Withe replied back. Withe charged forward with his two swords. Reion shot at him with his Genblades, the bullets hit Withe causing him to move back. An attack at such speed, who is this guy? Withe thought to himself. Reion shot another two bullets at Withe. Withe tried to counter the bullets but they were too fast for him to defend. Such speed, if only I could increase my speed to match his attack Withe thought to himself. Then an idea hit him. He used his two hand quicken move combine with his auto counter. Reion shot at him once more. Withe combined the moves increasing his counter speed, “ Reverse counter!” he countered the first bullet. However the other bullet still hit him. Reion was impressed. Not many could just invent techniques from scratch. This time Reion charged forward, Withe defended himself with his swords. Reion was about to shoot again. “ You can’t defend from my shots at this range!” Reion shouted to Withe. “You’re forgetting something…” Withe replied. As they were close together, Withe redirected Reion’s weapons and slashed Reion with a bash attack. Reion flew and crashed towards a nearby building. He quickly recovered and was ready to fight once more. “ Indeed, I had forgotten about close combat. Your strong Withe, I admit that but you aren’t going to defeat me anytime soon.
Suddenly a horn was sounded, a large group of crusaders gathered at the city center. Withe responded by shouting out to his knights and soon the two armies were face-to-face and ready for battle. Withe said to Reion, “ There’s a war going to happen soon, so I suggest you get out of here.” Reion replied, “ Very well then, I look forward to our next encounter.” Reion then left Juno. As he walked away, in his mind he thought, weird…he looks just like him. Withe smiled and rode on his own pecopeco. He shouted to his knights, “ Today is the day we prove ourselves, they say they are stronger, they say they are better. You hear that! We won’t take that standing down. We will defeat them and prove to them that we are the ones who are stronger! Now charge with all the might and spirit you got!” The spear knights stood to the front ready to pierce their enemies. The crusaders put up their shields ready to defend Juno. The knights charged forward and tried to pierce the crusaders shields but they were too strong. Knights who mastered the swords then jumped forward to attack the crusaders. The crusaders couldn’t defend the two sides and thus was knocked down and couldn’t get up. The crusaders then used their shields and charged forward knocking back the knights. Withe saw that this was going nowhere and thus he went around the buildings to attack their leader. When he arrived there, there were already a few crusaders guarding the area. Withe charged forward with his two swords and took them on. He first slashed their grand pecopecos first while they were guarding their selves. He the slashed and bash them as they lost balance on the grand pecopecos. However crusaders had lots of health and thus were still able to battle. Withe tried to attack them but their shields were always in the way. Withe then unleashed his two hand quicken enabling him to attack incredibly fast. He slashed them so quickly that the crusaders were unable to defend every single attack and was taking damage. The crusaders then attack with their grand cross move. Two crosses of lights strike Withe doing little damage due to the fact that crusaders have a weak offense. Withe then used a move he created a while back. He combined his two hand quicken with his bash to be able to bash just as fast as he attack speed is now. The crusaders took heavy damage to their health and were defeated.
Their leader soon appeared, he was bigger a bit then the other crusaders and so was his shield. “ My name is Withe Hikari, and I am the one who is leading this attack.” Withe shouted to the crusader. “ And I am Gurade, leader of the crusaders.” The man replied. Soon they were engage in battle, Withe’s swords against Gurade’s shield. Gurade’s shield was strong and was capable of defending all the strikes Withe tried. Gurade then used his grand cross attack. It knocked Withe back and had made quite an impact on Withe’s health. Withe thought to himself, I have to destroy that shield somehow or else I won’t be able to do any damage on his health. Withe charged once more, he slashed and bashed that shield with all his might. However there was little damage. Gurade shouted at Withe, “It’s useless, it’s impossible to break this shield with just your sword.” Withe shouted back, “ Then in order to win, I must do the impossible!” As Withe was preparing for the final blow he remembered what one of his friends told him. Everything has a different hardness once hit, it will withstand all it can and then restore its toughness. If you can hit it with a mighty blow at the time before it recovers, you can break anything! Withe used his two hand quicken again, he then bashed with all his might. In that split second another bash was released, but it had double the force as the first. Withe had used two bashes together, each with each hand and sword to form an incredible strike “Dual Bash!” The shield looked fine from Gurade’s point of view. He shouted proudly, “ Hah! See, it’s still intact!” With replied, “ You sure…look again!” The front part of the shield had crack, one more hit and the shield would break. Gurade got angry, he shouted out, “ You think you have won? Look closely, your army has become tired their healths are low. Now, come forth monks! And crush them!” Monks began to appear one by one on the rooftop.
Withe shouted back, “ You have monks but we have priests!” Priests appeared at the windows of nearby buildings, some at balconies too. They started to heal the knights and resurrect them. The monks quickly took action and tried to destroy the nearby buildings with a technique called the way of the dragon, which has a very powerful explosive effect. Withe grinned and shouted, “ Now!” Archers and hunters quickly came out of their hiding places. Some were on the rooftops, others at the windows of buildings as well. All of them took aim and fired a shower of arrows, the arrows slowly took down the monks one by one. None of the monks were able to successfully use their technique. The crusaders and monks were losing, it looks like Juno was about to fall. However the monks and crusaders could heal too, they quickly recovered. The knights charge forward again just as the crusaders were healing, a few were stopped but most recovered and fought off the knights. The battle raged on…
The monks were weak against the hunters, soon they couldn’t heal their wounds fast enough and had to hide among the buildings.
Meanwhile, the wizards and assassins had almost reached the core of Juno. Juno is able to stay afloat in mid-air as a very rare and large crystal powers it. And if Juno was to fall, the crystal must be destroyed. Krion rarecroft, a wizard and rival to Withe, was entrusted with this task. He led the assassins and wizards through a tunnel to the core of Juno. However at the entrance stood the rogues, bards, dancers and sages. Their leader, a rogue spoke first, “ Long time no see Holyin.” An assassin stood out from the rest. He replied back, “ Indeed, far too long…we walked on different paths and now our paths have collided.” “ Lets do this then!” the rouge shouted. The assassins charged forward with their incredible speed. They attack the rouges swiftly, but the rouges backstabbed them. The assassins were injured badly, the wizards tried to use their magic but were stopped by the sages who dispelled their magic. Krion thought to himself, if only they could somehow get rid of those sages. The assassins couldn’t attack the rogues straight forwardly so they used their cloaking. They knew the wizards needed help in getting rid of those sages. However the sages soon discovered their plan before the assassins could attack. The sages used their skill call sight and discovered the assassins. Krion saw it and thought that this was the perfect opportunity to attack. The wizards all quickly used their soul strikes, the sages using sight quickly stopped and used dispel. The assassins quickly attacked the sages losing their cloaking. The sages were out of choices and were defeated, the rogues were too late to counter their attack. However they still had some tricks up their sleeves, the sages had changed the area with their skill caught volcano. Now all damages with fire were boost. The rogues weapon had already been enchanted with fire element and had a boost in power. The assassins took heavy damage and many were defeated in their battle with the rogues. Krion realized this and enclosed the bards and dancers with his skill caught ice wall. The other wizards battled the bards and dancers, but the arrows of the bards were still able to go through. The wizards then countered the arrows with fireballs. Krion however was charging a meteor storm attack not at the bards but at the rogues. He quickly told all the assassins to dodge the attack if it comes close to them. However the assassins and rouges were mixed in battle. It would be almost impossible to not hit the assassins, but Holyin nodded and signal to him to do it. The attack was released, Krion tried to control the attacks and was successful at first but soon it went out of control. Many assassins and rogues were killed in that attack. In the end only Holyin and his friend was left. Krion knew that Holyin should be able to handle that rogue and thus went to continue to battle the bards and dancers. The bards and dancers weren’t able to put up much of a fight by themselves and thus were defeated quickly.
The gate was opened, and right before them was the legendary crystal. The wizards all blasted the crystal with their magic. However the there wasn’t even a crack! Krion got frustrated, “ How come it won’t break after everything!” A voice spoke to all of them, “ Fools, do you expect to destroy this great crystal just like that? Let me show you how,…muhahah!” A black wizard was floating in the air above them, he then casted a magic they had never seen before. “Dark nova!” A giant ball of darkness was summoned and blasted at the crystal. The crystal was filled with that energy and soon was broken. That black wizard then flew out of the tunnel and out of Juno. Juno started to lose its balanced in the air, Withe felt the ground shaking, and he commanded his knights, the hunters and priests to retreat out of Juno. The crusaders realized what had happened and follow suit. The monks too got out of Juno. Krion and the others quickly ran out of Juno as well. Many dead bodies were left at Juno, especially the assassins.
As Juno felled, Withe and his knights didn’t know to celebrate or to cry. Many people died in that battle, and now their dearest would never bury their bodies. It was a terrible price to pay for a victory, many people celebrated while others cried for there loved ones. The war however didn’t seized, the second second-class jobs were angry and didn’t give up. This time the people suffered even more, and soon a few repelled against all. The third second jobholders one by one revealed themselves.
